Privacy Policy

Sudoku Pencil & Paper does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage — which we cannot access.

Data We Collect

None. The app does not collect any personal information, usage data, or device identifiers. The developer has no server and receives no data from the app.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following is stored locally on your device (using iOS UserDefaults and SwiftData):

• Your puzzle progress (which puzzles you have opened or completed)
• Daily play count (for the free tier limit)
• App preferences
• Purchase entitlement (from Apple's StoreKit)

iCloud Sync

Your puzzle progress syncs across your devices using Apple iCloud (CloudKit). This data is stored in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account — only you can access it. The developer cannot see, read, or share it. Apple's iCloud privacy policy applies.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app simply keeps everything on your device — all features still work.

Third-Party Services

• Apple StoreKit — handles the in-app purchase. Apple's privacy policy applies.
• Apple iCloud (CloudKit) — syncs your progress between your devices, within your private iCloud account.
• iTunes Lookup API — used to check for app updates. Only the app's bundle ID is sent.

No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used.

Family Sharing

If you have purchased the "Unlock Full Game" in-app purchase, it may be shared with family members via Apple Family Sharing, managed by Apple.

Children's Privacy

This app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any data from children or adults.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the latest change.
